Episode Transcript
[00:00:03] Speaker A: DFAT Entertainment.
Welcome to episode number 265 of the Towelite Talk podcast.
[00:00:21] Speaker B: This is Casey, and this is Chris.
[00:00:24] Speaker A: And, you know, thanks for being patient.
Did a little bit of moving in the last four weeks from New York down to Florida for myself, so just had to get everything set up last week and ready to.
To get geeking out on things.
[00:00:43] Speaker B: We're back.
[00:00:44] Speaker A: Chris, what have you been geeking out on, man?
[00:00:48] Speaker B: What have I been geeking on?
I've been watching... I watched all of Andor.
[00:00:55] Speaker A: Okay. Is it done?
[00:00:56] Speaker B: It's done.
[00:00:57] Speaker A: So they launched.
[00:01:00] Speaker B: They launched last three episodes this past week. And it's.
It's. It's the best Star wars thing they've made, period. So I don't. Yeah, I don't know how they.
This is, this is what they need to do is just like make Star wars for everybody from Skeleton crew to Andorra to Visions to all of this stuff and just write, like, get people who can write good scripts and you gotta touch on these different things that all the different fan bases want. So it's. It's far superior to season one, just the way it's structured with the time jump and it's just.
Yeah, it was a. It's an awesome show and it leads right, you know, right into Rogue One. So that's what I did immediately last night after that. So I guess what we'll do is I'll just take this Diablo Berserk thing out of the gaming section because I'll just talk about it now.
[00:02:01] Speaker A: Sure.
[00:02:02] Speaker B: But I've been playing like, I didn't want to play that Diablo Immortal game for a while.
[00:02:08] Speaker A: No, we avoided it.
[00:02:09] Speaker B: We did. And then I was like, I've heard it's pretty good. And, you know, it's pay to win. Yeah. Like most mobile games are, so. Right, whatever.
So I've been playing that and it's. It's a lot of fun.
Excuse me. And they did a Berserk collaboration, which, you know, really drew me to it. So you have to get a certain level to start really accessing that kind of stuff. And it's. It's cool. It's. It is a lot of cosmetics. But yeah, there's this really cool, like, Vampire Survivors clone within it. And it's.
It's really cool. So they base it on like the Eclipse from Berserk and.
[00:02:48] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:02:48] Speaker B: Smashing things, of course, and loving leveling up your powers and. And stuff like that. So it's a really good clone. It's. It's a good little added piece to the whole.
The game because it's still, you know, you still. Still for the Diablo side of things. The missions are fun, the controls are really tight. So it's a really cool experience on mobile.
[00:03:14] Speaker A: Okay. So thank you for convincing me to download it today. I will get to that soon.
Yeah, I.
Geeking out, man. It hasn't been too much. Like I had to take a break from magic and all that stuff. So I've now started to kind of like start looking at my decks again and just go, okay, things are slowing down a little bit. Maybe I can start editing things.
So I'm excited to pair down some of these decks I have and, and listen, pair down a bit. I think I have 25 decks or something right now. Like I need to go at least like I want to play them more. You know what I mean?
[00:04:01] Speaker B: Huh?
[00:04:02] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:04:03] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:04:04] Speaker A: You haven't seen all my decks yet.
[00:04:09] Speaker B: I'm saying like it's an endless cycle so you can.
[00:04:11] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:04:12] Speaker B: Say what you want and then you'll build five more decks. So I. Yeah, or buy five.
Exactly. So.
[00:04:19] Speaker A: All right. So Magic, you know, it's got get back into day.
Also geeking out on a lot of the stuff that we're going to talk about because it has been some great announcements that have come out. We've had Cinemacon in the last month and we've had some movies come out.
So let's get into the Marvel side of things. We've got a new final Fantastic Four first steps trailer, you know, comes out July 25th.
Did it make you more hyped? Same. You know, what did you think?
[00:04:55] Speaker B: Yeah, of course it did.
It's got major spoiler in there and it's.
[00:05:01] Speaker A: Don't tell me.
[00:05:02] Speaker B: It's fine because the spoilers everywhere. So you'll see it eventually.
And if you don't want spoilers, don't go look at the any toy sites.
But it's a wonderful spoiler that has a lot to tie into what's coming up in the future of Marvel. I will say that.
Yeah, I'm really excited for this movie. It looks that this is like pure like showcasing Silver Surfer.
Yeah. You know, and just the family dynamics and where they're building the movie from and an established Fantastic Four in this weird mid mod world that's definitely a.
Definitely a separate mcu, you know.
[00:05:43] Speaker A: Cannot wait. Cannot wait.
[00:05:45] Speaker B: Oh, one thing real quick. Just because. Yeah. I should have said isn't geeking out.
Go see Thunderbolts.
It's the best MCU movie I've seen in a long time and it Was not the one I expected to do this. So anybody out there on the fence or whatever?
It's awesome. It's well written. It's. It's a really good movie. So that's it.
[00:06:12] Speaker A: All right. Yeah, no, I. That one. You know, we opted for Sinners this weekend because we were afraid we wouldn't get to see it in the theater.
And Thunderbolts will be there for a while, I would imagine.
So.
Yeah, that's next on the list. But in that. Did you get this Iron Heart trailer? Did you get to watch it? Was it, you think?
[00:06:35] Speaker B: I. Yeah, I watched it twice now. I got the.
I didn't get it in that, but the. The Iron Heart trailer came out, what, the other day? Yeah, it looks good.
I. I totally, like.
Like, when I get spoiled on things, I totally forget sometimes that what's going to happen. And so, like, the reveal of the hood in that is awesome. And it's a neat, like, dichotomy of magic and technology for this. So I think that's a really good choice for a villain in that. So we'll see how.
How they get down with it, especially after Daredevil and what they're trying to do as far as shaping Marvel tv.
[00:07:16] Speaker A: You know, I kind of feel. And we'll talk about it because, like, that's next, right? Daredevil.
Because I thought that was brilliant. This new season, I did get to geek out on that. I got to finish it, and I loved it. And I feel like it still kind of exists in its own world.
And that's a little bit of my bigger criticism with it, with the TV stuff is you've had this blip happen, and you do acknowledge it, but, like, there's aliens out there. You know what I mean? Like, there's big things happening in this world. And.
Okay, you know, I. I feel like Matt still shows up every time a Secret wars happens. You know what I mean? Like, he's still front line and center. Some of these people are bigger than what they give them. Listen, it doesn't take away from the show. I love the show, but that's just what I'm saying.
[00:08:13] Speaker B: Well, that's exact opposite of what people are asking for, though. At the same time, they want these, like, story. Story driven, you know, things that, like, they do in the comics. Like, Daredevil comic exists without all this other stuff going.
[00:08:26] Speaker A: I'm talking about a line. It doesn't have to be even a scene. I just want a line of like, hey, isn't it?
[00:08:32] Speaker B: They talked about that in the first show, you know, the first time they did it.
Exactly. The Chitauri, all the Hammer Man. So now it's like, let's. Let's wait and be patient and see when he does show up in future stuff if they're gonna do it that way. Right. My biggest problem, I can't even talk to you about because I was just kind of, like, thrown off by, all right, Mayor Fisk. And then they go like, thunderbolts takes place in New York City. And they just say. They don't say anything about anything. So it's like, where does this all exist?
[00:09:02] Speaker A: You know, that's what I'm. It just doesn't ever feel like it's part of the mcu.
[00:09:07] Speaker B: So it's just like, I think there's a licensing thing as my last thing that's canceled. I've heard it is. I've heard, like, they can't put Kingpin on the big screen. They can't say that on the. On a movie. For some. There's still something there that's, like, complete as far as it comes to, like, this shared universe for Marvel.
[00:09:25] Speaker A: Yeah. And I guess it's. It's like Ironheart looks like an MCU movie. And so did all the other ones. So did Hawkeye. You know what I mean? Even though he's street level, quote unquote, like, it still felt like I'm part of this huge world that exists. It's like you guys are still just talking about New York level stuff. Like, if you want to get real, you'd be using that chitauri technology that Vulture was using in. In Spider Man. You know what I mean? It's like you would be dealing in things that are not cocaine and whatever. You'd be doing the big level alien stuff, too. So it's just a weird miss for me is. And that's a small critique because everything else, I love knowing I'm in that world only.
[00:10:12] Speaker B: Yeah, I guess. I mean, it's also weird critique to be like, I want street level Spider man movie. You know, it's like, I want him. You know, it's. It's this balance of, like, it's better. It's been around for so long now. Like, do they have to keep saying, yeah, we have this or that? I feel like they did something with Chitauri technology in one of the shows. Did it they. Wasn't it Hawkeye or Echo or something where those were.
[00:10:37] Speaker A: Get it again, MCU shows.
It's. It's a weird thing that the. These guys don't.
You Know, he complains about that episode with Kamala and it's like, it sounds.
[00:10:49] Speaker B: Like you're part of the world.
Exactly. Right. Which was one of the better, like one of the best episodes.
[00:10:54] Speaker A: Right.
Anyway, I hear you in good news, Jessica Jones is gonna be in season two. We talked about how. What's her name, Kristen Ritter kind of teased on Instagram that she was down in New York City.
Didn't really say what, but you know, it's confirmed, so I can't wait.
[00:11:14] Speaker B: Well, that's what. That's another weird critique I heard out there was like at the end of the season when it's like, rally the troops and it's just all those, like those kitchen people. It's like, yeah, where, where is everybody? And that's, that's the ongoing question of like, you've already established defenders, like.
[00:11:33] Speaker A: Right.
[00:11:34] Speaker B: Where are they? Did they get. You know, so, yeah.
[00:11:39] Speaker A: Moving on. Predators gonna kill the entire Marvel universe. This is going to be an all out invasion of Earth with the galaxy's deadliest hunters. This goes on sale in August.
Ben Percy, great writer Marcelo Ferreira is going as art. I'm pumped.
[00:12:00] Speaker B: Yeah. I just want every time they do this, this or Godzilla or anything, I just want a, an omnibus to come out with all of it.
[00:12:06] Speaker A: Right, right.
Yep.
First variant cover is Leno. You real great. So.
And then in the crossover never thought would ever happen is Gargoyles and Fantastic Four are going to be meeting.
This is kind of cool for Gargoyles fans, I think. More so because maybe they're kind of finally giving us more. You know, we keep getting teased and teased and teased and there is a, There was a comic, but, you know, let's bring this world back, I think.
[00:12:40] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean, I believe that comic's still going on right now, right?
[00:12:45] Speaker A: Yeah, maybe. Yeah.
[00:12:46] Speaker B: I mean, it is a weird one seeing that they're kind of like. But it's a family thing, you know, so.
[00:12:51] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:12:52] Speaker B: About the family.
[00:12:53] Speaker A: Yeah. Fantastic Four, Fast and Furious, FFF4.
So speaking of letters, jump over to DC.
[00:13:04] Speaker B: It's not a letter.
[00:13:07] Speaker A: It's not DC.
Superman new trailer.
Did you feel hope?
[00:13:15] Speaker B: Yes.
In my pants.
It was a great trailer.
Definitely addressed more of like showing like the people complain about like him flying at the screen and that in that shot. Well, he like doubled down on, on showing some effects and how cool it's gonna look. So whatever, man. It's. It's almost July.
We'll see. We're gonna see exactly what James Guns brings. And if people can just shut the hell up. Already. So that's it. I'm ready.
[00:13:54] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:13:55] Speaker B: Yeah. It looks great. It looks great.
Yeah.
[00:13:58] Speaker A: I'm excited, you know, and. And we'll talk about this. Like, it's just that it's a world. You know what I mean? It's not these separate entities. Like, we're just. The dichotomy to Marvel right now is that everybody's out in their own kind of certain area where James Gunn's like, no, let's try to. Like, this is a world of superheroes. You know, they all exist.
[00:14:23] Speaker B: I. I just. I just love when people are like, we don't need this. It doesn't need to be a shared universe. It doesn't. Like, this is the wrong approach.
I. I'm sorry, but people have been begging for Justice League Unlimited for years, so people love that. Yeah.
[00:14:36] Speaker A: It's like, Noni has complained about this. I think they did. When shared universes, like, oh, you know, we're gonna do that. GI Joe, Transformers, blah, blah. Then there's Universe of Monsters. And, like, there was a lot more talk about shared universe. And I think you got poo pooed. And I think the difference between that and this is, like, you. Even though they're a shared universe, it would be like, okay, Iron man shows up in Spider Man. This is like, no, here's everybody. Like, there's a giant threat. Like, don't just sit there in Hell's Kitchen, just freaking swinging around while, like, aliens are taking over your city, dude. Like, you know what I mean? Like, it just.
[00:15:15] Speaker B: I do, I do. Anyway, I hear you.
[00:15:17] Speaker A: So.
So, yeah, I'm excited about that. Other thing is Supergirl World of Tomorrow. We got a first look at Lobo.
You know, this is a ago, but thought we'd comment on it. What did you think?
[00:15:33] Speaker B: Jason is born to play the main man. Yes, exactly.
When I first saw him, I was like, this is. This guy Lobo.
[00:15:41] Speaker A: He didn't even have to change from Aquaman. Honestly. He just had to wear the makeup.
[00:15:47] Speaker B: What a. What a ridiculous casting for Aquaman.
[00:15:51] Speaker A: Oh, it always was.
[00:15:52] Speaker B: Thanks, Zack Snyder. I mean, I like. I like Aquaman, too. I like those movies, but I do, too.
[00:15:56] Speaker A: But he's still a bro, so this is great. He's just gonna be more of an.
[00:16:00] Speaker B: I can't wait. He looks great and I love that comic, and I'm really hyped for that movie, so. Can't wait.
[00:16:07] Speaker A: Yeah, same, same.
So we got a little bit more casting news in Lanterns, Ben Victor will play Antan. Am I saying that right? Anton.
[00:16:20] Speaker B: I think That's a rumor. I. I forgot.
Is it atrocious?
Is that what it is?
[00:16:29] Speaker A: I mean, this is so. This is on deadline.
[00:16:31] Speaker B: Yeah.
Am I thinking of the wrong one? I probably am. Sorry.
We will see what it's. What they're saying is atrocities. Right? That's. I'm sorry. That's what they were saying, and that's all rumor. I. I would be really surprised if they brought atrocities in, which is like the big Red Lantern. And I don't know. I don't know if I see that happening. The way they describe the character he's playing, that's where they. They.
[00:16:59] Speaker A: Okay, so I see what you're saying. There is no character in the Green Lantern comics name and tan. So they think it's a ruse.
[00:17:07] Speaker B: Yes. Yes.
[00:17:08] Speaker A: Okay, I see what you're saying. Okay. Well, who knows? Good actor, though, so.
Right on.
This is kind of sad. Sergeant Rock not moving forward.
[00:17:20] Speaker B: I heard it's been put on the back burner at least. So it's been talk.
All these different actors attached to it, and then they're just like, we're not doing this right now. So.
[00:17:30] Speaker A: Hey, listen, as long as things keep moving, like, if we start seeing. We're seeing Supergirl production.
Lanters is in production. Like, we keep seeing. Like, oh, here's Nightwing. Here's whatever the heck else they start working on. Like, if they keep that steady going, I don't care. You know, move the pieces around.
[00:17:49] Speaker B: Right. It's fluid. So don't just commit to something that's not going to work and then waste it or make something shitty. Yeah, he said it's fluid. Like, we will change. So just go. You're here for the ride.
[00:18:02] Speaker A: Yeah.
We've got All Star Superman is going to be published in an audiobook. Full cast audiobook.
This has me excited. I really like All Star Superman, but I think this is a sweet idea. And, yeah, I mean, Mark Thompson, which is one of the most famous voiceover actors and audiobooks that I've heard, I listen to as Superman.
I don't know. What do you think of this idea?
[00:18:31] Speaker B: I. If James Gunn used some of this, you know, story beats for his movie.
[00:18:36] Speaker A: That's a good. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:18:38] Speaker B: It's one of the best Superman stories of all time. I think it's just awesome. It's an awesome idea, especially for full cast recording.
[00:18:45] Speaker A: That's what. Okay. Mark Thompson does, like, pretty much every Star wars audiobook. That's what he does. Yeah. So, yeah. That's exciting. And you're right. It aligns with hopefully the movie. It's good. Good idea.
Peacemaker Season 2. This is one of those shows that. It has been a while, but I'm still pretty excited about it.
[00:19:06] Speaker B: Did you watch the trailer?
[00:19:08] Speaker A: No.
[00:19:08] Speaker B: Of course you should watch the trailer. It's because I'm going to tell you exactly why it's so cool.
Because it's. He goes into this, like, questioning room with. With.
And they got Guy Gardner there and Hawkgirl and James Gunn's brother Sean.
[00:19:25] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:19:26] Speaker B: He plays Maxwell Lord in the dcu, and so he's there and they're all, like, interviewing for, like, I think for what, a Justice League gang or whatever. They're. Whatever. They're planning, whatever. They have a weird name for the movie, I've heard, because they're like. They're not like Justice League International yet. They're not the Justice League. They're like the justice guys or something stupid.
[00:19:46] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:19:47] Speaker B: And so, like, they're interviewing them, and then they cut the mics, but they didn't cut the mic. And he's like. They're talking about him, and he's sitting there listening to the three of them talk about him. It's just like.
It's a really funny thing. So. And that's what I'm talking about, like, where people, like. Well, they're just. They're doing too much of this world. Sharing stuff.
No, I. I can't wait to see that scene. The show. So.
[00:20:11] Speaker A: Yeah, shut up.
[00:20:13] Speaker B: That's it.
Good.
[00:20:14] Speaker A: Thank you.
So let's jump over to a galaxy far, far away with questionable world building.
But it's getting better.
[00:20:24] Speaker B: And.
[00:20:25] Speaker A: Or Season two. You already shared your thoughts on that.
Let's go past that. Let's go past the Episode nine to the Sean Levy and Ryan Gosling Star Wars, Star Fighter that got announced at Celebration.
What do you think?
[00:20:45] Speaker B: I. I don't know what to think with Star Wars.
I'm hoping that they're on this, like, let's make good content ship now.
I think Sean Levy is, you know, is. Is a good choice to do this. He's had some, you know, some hits.
Everybody loves Ryan Gosling. He's a great actor. And I. I think that expanding this out into the sequel time is a good idea. Like, everybody's shying away from it. Like, yeah, you made some mistakes, but overall, I had a good time watching those movies and. And liked most of what you did. Right.
But you have a lot of storytelling to do out there. And, like, they, like, you always say they go back, they develop stuff like that. We've seen so many times. So I'm ready for new stories.
And my last thought about Andor was this was like, kind of having a tie into Rogue One at the end, you know, as they should. Kind of puts in, like, a cap at that whole Galactic Empire era of storytelling, in a way. And it's kind of appropriate to do it that way, because now it's like, go build the New Republic out, go build the sequel type.
[00:22:00] Speaker A: Yet I. I agree. Yet, you know, I'm just gonna move it up. But then we get this Darth Maul Shadow Lord.
[00:22:13] Speaker B: But that's stuff people been waiting for too, though. People have been begging for that story.
[00:22:16] Speaker A: Well, dude, then you.
You're happy. It's. It's having it both ways.
[00:22:23] Speaker B: But it's also like, they've. Yeah, maybe, but I do want to see the. But here's the deal, though. Once they put out outlaws and they put out skeleton crew, people are like, yeah, give us the underworld, which people have been asking for forever. So it's like, go to, like, I'll see that. But I'm done with, like, this Rebel Empire thing. Right. Like, that's what I'm saying is, like, we're. We're there.
Whatever Darth Maul is doing in the shadows, like, that's also, like, kind of separate storytelling in its own right.
[00:22:52] Speaker A: And. And listen, I'm fine with that. It's like the same thing with the. The Legends that just came out with Cad Bane and Asajj Ventress.
You know, like, again, I don't need it, but I'm excited that it's there. You know what I mean? But, like, what does it do to. It just. It just keeps making that site. It just shrinks and shrinks and shrinks and, like, the comic just came out. What is it? Right after Return of the Jedi, finally, that's the newest comic for Star wars that came out the other day.
[00:23:26] Speaker B: Well, yeah, they did that 12 part post Jedi. Yes. And then now they're. Now they're like, yes, this is the launch point. Yeah.
[00:23:34] Speaker A: So. So, you know, finally. Because that's the. That's that time where it. You know, eventually we'll see him have to meet up with freaking Mandalorian.
Because that happens after. In those five years.
[00:23:53] Speaker B: Yeah.
It's also, like, what's going on with Aftermath, like, that original trilogy, Like.
[00:24:00] Speaker A: Yeah, and I'm excited for that time, and I am excited for the sequel time, too. And after. It's just like. It's not that I'm not excited for any of this. It's Just, you know how it goes.
[00:24:11] Speaker B: I do. And I'm also saying, like, if you're gonna go back, but don't just. Just don't only do that. Like. Yeah, like, just build this all out and do it the right way. And if you want to still tell stories, fine.
[00:24:25] Speaker A: Right.
[00:24:25] Speaker B: Like Shadow Lord. That's something to get excited because that's a fan favorite. Right.
But, yeah, a New Republic is. Is.
Is.
It's such the opposite of the eu, Right, where they built.
[00:24:37] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:24:37] Speaker B: Really built out the. The Republic.
So.
[00:24:41] Speaker A: Yeah.
So Sam Witwer will voice Darth Maul again.
Apparently, fans got to take a look at a new animation style that they're going to be doing for this. So that's exciting because we've had the clone wars, what, 20 years of that style. And that's fine because then they tried. What was that pilot show, you know, and I didn't mind that animation, actually, but it also was a bit cartoony. I think if it was a bit more adult, you know, it would have been fine. But, you know, as we've seen, and we're going to transition this into visions. Like, you know, things are.
Things are awesome. Like, there is so many more animation styles that they can do out there.
[00:25:28] Speaker B: There are, though. They have refined that Clone wars one. So good.
[00:25:32] Speaker A: They have. Yeah. No, I mean, it looks insane, obviously, but I like that we might be getting something new. So.
Yeah. So speaking of visions, we've got.
The Ninth Jedi will be getting his own standalone series, and then in October 29th, we'll be getting the third volume of the animated anthology series.
This is all. All the things you need, right? This is exciting.
[00:25:58] Speaker B: It is. I do like that they're spitting off.
I went back and started watching that the Ninth Jedi one again. So just to re.
Revisit that.
So this is cool. I mean, this is exactly kind of like you're telling these anthology things you would hope that maybe they would also do. Like they did the Ronin book, right. So that's another one they spun out of it. So, you know, if they get a hit, go. Go tell this.
[00:26:26] Speaker A: Yeah, we got Calcastis. You know what I mean? Like, that's filling in again, more of that time period. Like, it's fine. I'm. I like to see these new stories.
[00:26:34] Speaker B: But I'm just saying, like, I don't like, even with Cal Kestis, like, tied down to everything, you know, in its own right, and kind of interweaving with High Republic and. And. And all the other time, the. All the errors, what I liked about visions was its ability to step outside of all of that.
[00:26:53] Speaker A: Yes. Sorry. Get away from the Skywalkers. Really.
[00:26:58] Speaker B: Basically. Right.
[00:26:59] Speaker A: Yeah.
Keeping in line with Skywalkers, though, maybe Mandu Grogu showed some footage. We got to see Zeb, and they confirmed this is kind of. This is it. Right? This movie caps off that these guys.
[00:27:13] Speaker B: No, as far as Mando the Mandalorian show, there will not be a season four.
[00:27:21] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:27:21] Speaker B: Instead, they're after the Man Go Mando Grogu movie. There will be another movie that.
That, you know, he's attached to that will be like, heir to the Empire, whatever they've been saying, you know, kind of. That is the final cap of this whole shared universe because they still have a story.
[00:27:43] Speaker A: How's that gonna play in the comics too? Right?
Because that's the time.
[00:27:48] Speaker B: Yeah, it's gonna be pretty awesome.
There's a big gap there, right, between, like, the beginning of New Republic and where it's kind of established. And then we get to, like, pre.
[00:27:58] Speaker A: I'm saying in those five years, by the time we see between that one in five years where, you know, Mando's doing his thing and we don't see him, that's where Luke could be doing all of the heir to the Empire. It's right after. Right.
[00:28:14] Speaker B: I mean, they're not going to do heir the Empire, but they're going to.
[00:28:17] Speaker A: Do their version of it as close as they want.
[00:28:19] Speaker B: You know, I am excited about this whole, like, mall versus. I'm sorry, not Mall. Thrawn versus Thrawn.
[00:28:26] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:28:27] Speaker B: Versus Admiral Akbar stuff. Since all he got was thrown out of Starship and in the sequels, like, thanks. Thanks for.
It's a trap. You know, with disrespect, like.
[00:28:41] Speaker A: Oh, gosh. Yeah, that's ex. That's. That's exciting stuff. So anyway, any more Thrawn? Very exciting.
And then finally outlaws Pirates Fortune. DLC. It is out.
Go get it. Comes out maybe 15th. So it was the time of this recording a few days ago. Yep.
[00:29:00] Speaker B: Yep. 15 bucks, your favorite pirates returns.
So I can't wait. Can't wait.
[00:29:11] Speaker A: Speaking of things, you also can't wait for Strange New Worlds has a release date.
So on the other side of The Galaxy, on July 17, season three will premiere.
[00:29:23] Speaker B: Yes. It's been too long.
Look, I haven't watched Star Trek in a long time.
[00:29:30] Speaker A: Yeah, it kind of slowed down a little bit. I feel like the momentum shows got canceled. The 1313 or what? Whatever that show was.
[00:29:38] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:29:39] Speaker A: It's forgettable.
Yeah. So you know what I mean like, let's bring it back.
[00:29:43] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean, Academy coming. So it's, it's. Yeah. Is returning.
[00:29:47] Speaker A: Yes, yes.
All right, so let's go over to Crowd Sorcery, take a look at a couple things. First up, the heroes of Might and Magic. That's an old school RPG, I feel like from the 80s, maybe the 90s. Anyways, they're making a tabletop, you know, a whole new game system out of it. And the time of this recording, we're 109,000 with a 44,000 goal. So it is funded. But if you want to get a piece of that action, we'll leave the link in as always.
[00:30:20] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm just trying to remember like how far back this world goes.
[00:30:25] Speaker A: An Ubisoft game from the 90s, I think.
[00:30:28] Speaker B: 95 it began.
[00:30:29] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[00:30:30] Speaker B: So there's like more games, tons of stuff based out of that.
Even a new Switch game. Wow, cool. Return to the world.
[00:30:41] Speaker A: That's it.
And then hearkening back to Star Wars.
We are getting a lot in the manga world, which is pretty freaking awesome. But included in that there is going to be a Kickstarter.
This is going to be for the art of Star wars and New Hope, the manga. So this is from the Dark Horse. Never before seen.
Classic. So we'll leave the link in that. That's going to be launching soon. Not quite. Doesn't quite have a date yet.
[00:31:17] Speaker B: Nope. But I will leave that link.
[00:31:21] Speaker A: I have a notify and launch. I'll throw that in there.
[00:31:23] Speaker B: Cool, cool.
[00:31:26] Speaker A: Awesome. So in the meantime, while you guys check that out, we're going to go take a quick commercial break.

[00:32:26] Speaker A: We are back.
And Chris, what time is it?
[00:32:30] Speaker B: Oh, it's. It's time for the pursuit of plastic.
[00:32:34] Speaker A: That is correct. We have the NECA's mask of red Death. This is a Phantom of the Opera Figure.
It looks amazing. And I've actually been waiting for this figure to come out. So I'm very excited.
Rolling on through here.
[00:32:51] Speaker B: That's right. With those extra tariffs tacked on as NECA figures get closer to $50.
[00:32:59] Speaker A: Seriously?
[00:33:01] Speaker B: Oh, seriously. It's like 40 something bucks on, you know, for the pre order and I think that's without.
Yeah, it's weird. Like, so, like I've been. I got some of the, the exclusive Mirage figures lately. Like the, the new April and a new shredder from the Holons, and I was getting them through Target for like low 30s. Right. And all of a sudden these other things are going up over $40. So. Okay, it's, it's, it's hitting and we'll see how that affects everything. But I'm also kind of confused. Like I was collecting those black and white ones for a long time. Yeah. And still waiting for them to put the Phantom, the original Phantom One out for that.
[00:33:38] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:33:38] Speaker B: But it's still up for pre order the other one. So it's like they haven't even like moved forward with that.
[00:33:44] Speaker A: That's interesting.
[00:33:45] Speaker B: We'll see. We'll see what happens. I do like this one, but I'm not buying it. Not at 47.
[00:33:50] Speaker A: No. I mean, it's, I mean, with everything that we say with this. Right. It's, it's. We gotta choose what you want to do. So Rocky, the underdog figure is coming out this 1/6th scale with his. It's a sideshow collectible. I don't. I'm a big Rocky fan. Like, I love that series. We're gonna talk about Rocky Moore. So I love it. It has the meat, his hands all bloody, punching this giant carcass.
[00:34:18] Speaker B: It's iconic.
[00:34:20] Speaker A: It's iconic. It's great. Yeah. So.
And then finally, Hot Toys released a ton of stuff.
You know, we got Obi Wan, we've got some different clones. Obi Wan from Attack of the Clones?
Yeah, yeah. Commander Cody from Revenge of the Sith and Geez, Chopper got a bunch of stuff. What do you think? Does any of this stuff stand out to you? Do you care anymore?
[00:34:50] Speaker B: I don't.
[00:34:51] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:34:53] Speaker B: I have other things to spend my money on.
And I saw. Well, I saw.
[00:34:58] Speaker A: They are cool looking.
[00:34:59] Speaker B: Yeah, they are cool looking. And they only, you know, look better every year, so.
[00:35:05] Speaker A: Yeah.
Yeah. Well, you know, they're out there.
[00:35:12] Speaker B: Let's take a look.
[00:35:13] Speaker A: All right, so let's jump over to comic book news.
Tell us about this. Rebel Moon is getting a prequel trilogy. Is this needed I mean, Gail Simone's gonna do it, so.
[00:35:23] Speaker B: Yeah, I think that's the highlight of this whole thing.
[00:35:25] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:35:26] Speaker B: The only highlight, because I. I don't care about Rebel Moon at all. In fact, I heard that the third movie is having so many problems that they might have to do a Zack Snyder's director's cut type deal for it.
But. Yeah.
[00:35:42] Speaker A: Yeah, it's not done right. Like, it never came out.
[00:35:45] Speaker B: No, I never even watched the second one. That's how much I don't give a. About these movies because the first one.
So bad.
And I love you, Zack Snyder, I do. But I'm sorry, but Moon is hot garbage.
[00:35:58] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay. I still haven't watched it and I. I've been waiting for all three, but.
[00:36:02] Speaker B: Now that's my point.
[00:36:04] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:36:05] Speaker B: Like, okay, you're not, you're not running out to watch any of it. I'm not. I'm not even like giving. I'm not even watching the second one. I'm sorry. I don't care. Director's cut or whatever it is. Like, go do something else.
[00:36:18] Speaker A: Yeah, I hear you.
So this is kind of big news. Ed Populum, who owns neca, wins the bid to take over Diamond Comics, who went bankrupt, which also owns Diamond Select Toys as well.
What do you think about this? You know, when you think about it Owns neca, It owns dst, Giant Till Giants.
Yeah. And Whiz Kids as it, you know, Neck as it is has Whiz Kids and Kid Robot and all these things. It's just like, that's actually acquiring quite a huge library.
[00:36:58] Speaker B: Yeah. This is wild. It was today, years old, when I found out this was happening.
I don't even know, man. This is very, like conglomerating. Like everything's coming together.
Are we still looking at like a monopoly here?
I don't. I don't know what to think. As long as they can get me my comic books every Wednesday on time.
That's all I ask. So that are.
[00:37:25] Speaker A: That already was a monopoly. I mean, that's what I'm saying. Like, like the, you know, dst.
No, like they have their place in the market and I think that's fine, but I think comic book wise, like Lunar just can't come close to, you know, Diamond.
[00:37:42] Speaker B: No, they can't.
And it, you know, it's. Who knows? Especially now with. With this, like, the economy and stuff like that. We'll see more of this stuff.
[00:37:52] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:37:54] Speaker B: I don't know. It's kind of. It's kind of crazy to me, so.
[00:37:58] Speaker A: Wow.
So. And Then finally, in comic book news, Event Horizon is going to be getting a comic book prequel series from IDW.
That was almost 30 years ago. 1997. Paul W.S. anderson. I still love this movie.
[00:38:14] Speaker B: Oh yeah, the.
There was a special edition 4K that is dropping recently that was like, nice. Really tempted to buy, but I'll wait till like there's a really good deal on it. It's like, you know how those are like 40, 50 now. It's crazy.
But yeah, I love this movie. I'll, I'll check this out.
[00:38:35] Speaker A: Yeah, pretty. Pretty rad.
So going over to TV streaming news, we've got Pacific Rim series from our friend Eric Hessier. Lands at Amazon for development.
Eric Hessier. We turned this guy's name around for a long time. He was attached to Valiant. Yes, he was doing Valiant books too. So what do you think about this though? Pacific Rim TV show? Amazon talking about mega conglomerates taking over all franchises.
[00:39:04] Speaker B: Yeah, that was, I think that's the. I just read that an article about that the other day. It's like they're doubling down on these 80s IPS and stuff, right? They should, they should. And it's like they have the money, I mean, to throw around and, and make things look really good. I mean, Lord of the Rings is a good example of that. Regardless of people's feelings on it, they have the money to make he man look great, you know, or whatever, so.
Or Voltron series. Right. So, yes, it's only like Pacific Rim has been like itching to come back out, you know, like Kaijus are, are big now. You know, Godzilla is huge again, like.
[00:39:43] Speaker A: Yeah, he's always been huge, Chris.
[00:39:45] Speaker B: Yeah, exactly, exactly.
And he, I mean, he's, he's a top writer, director, like the Rival. All that kind of stuff is just like really well made stuff.
So this is, this is exciting and I can't wait.
[00:40:03] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, same. Absolutely.
More Pacific room is always what I need.
We've been Korn fans forever. Since corn.
[00:40:15] Speaker B: Since it popped.
Yeah.
[00:40:18] Speaker A: So Netflix announces a three part corn documentary come out in 2026. Going into the deep dive of new metal.
I'm excited for this.
Yeah, there's a lot of Corn fans out there.
[00:40:31] Speaker B: There are especially. I work in a high school and so talking to kids about corn as, you know, a band that I was their age when it came out, you know, so we were, you know, so it's like, it's a really cool concept to have it be such generational music.
Especially when they made those kind of statements back then, like Their influence would be, quote, unquote, as big as the Beatles. Right.
And it's. It's, you know, it's. That's. That's an excessive statement, but in its own right, they're still influencing. They influenced metal and hard rock for, like you said, 30 years now.
And they've transformed. They helped transform it. And now it's like, they're still uber popular. And here you go. Now they have a documentary coming out.
[00:41:20] Speaker A: About them, so can't, cannot wait.
[00:41:23] Speaker B: Awesome.
[00:41:25] Speaker A: Fallout season three already renewed before season two, which is coming out in December, does not surprise me. Just to your point, again, Amazon's doubling down and stuff, and this show got insane popularity, so.
As it should. It's great.
[00:41:42] Speaker B: Oh, it's great.
Yeah. I'm. I really hope season two drops this year. We don't have to wait too much longer.
There's a great, you know, 4K set coming out for the first season in July, and it's not that expensive either for the whole thing, so.
Steelbook and all.
Yeah, I love it.
Reunited my love of Fallout. And I. I'm hoping we get more announcements of, like, a remaster as well coming up, so.
[00:42:12] Speaker A: Yes, that would be freaking sweet.
Cree TV series Delphi or Delphi also coming to Amazon.
[00:42:22] Speaker B: Whoa.
Are we sponsored by Amazon?
[00:42:26] Speaker A: I know. Seriously, this is gonna be kind of set in the Creamy franchise at the gym that he trains at the boxing gym. So going to be focusing on young athletes who are going to be taking over boxing.
This is smart. Michael B. Jordan smart.
Expanding that universe is smart.
That's it. You know, show looks cool. I'll check it out for sure.
[00:42:53] Speaker B: Me too.
[00:42:57] Speaker A: So this is, you know, insane news.
Buffy is getting rebooted and they pick their. Buffy.
Who is this actress, Ryan? Kiera Armstrong.
She's.
She was in the Stephen King Firestarter reboot, but then she just recently was on Skeleton Crew and she did great. And I am so excited about more Buffy.
[00:43:25] Speaker B: Well, it's interesting because it's not a reboot, right?
[00:43:28] Speaker A: No, it is.
[00:43:28] Speaker B: Sarah Michelle Geller's there, so it's like. Yes.
Who are you playing? Child. Right.
Yeah.
[00:43:36] Speaker A: He's the new slayer, Whatever that.
[00:43:38] Speaker B: Right.
[00:43:39] Speaker A: That is. How would they explain it? Do they, you know, the end of Buffy? We got a lot of different slayers, and then they picked up the Dark Horse books after that. And, like, you know, what does it mean?
[00:43:51] Speaker B: Chloe's. I was signed on to direct the pilot. Oh, my God.
[00:43:55] Speaker A: Yeah. Chloe's out. Yeah. Yeah. Yep.
[00:43:57] Speaker B: Cool down. Let's do this.
[00:44:00] Speaker A: Yeah. So.
And Then Finally, Friday the 13th, we got a. Our first look at the new Jason Voorhees.
I think what's his name is on this. Greg Nicotero.
Like, got camp came in to get consulted on the redesign. You know, it looks like Jason. It looks like they switched up the mask a little bit. They added a couple extra holes, you know, made it a little bit more menacing, I guess.
You know, we've seen a lot of Jason mask, but to me, the most exciting thing is that we're getting more of this coming. Like there's going to be a Jason Voorhees TV show and it's not going to be cheesy.
[00:44:43] Speaker B: Exactly.
[00:44:44] Speaker A: It's probably gonna be insane.
[00:44:47] Speaker B: Right. Like thinking back to like the Friday 13th TV show originally.
[00:44:50] Speaker A: Right. That's what I'm saying. Or the front. Or the Nightmare one too, is cheese as hell.
[00:44:55] Speaker B: You're weird.
Yeah. I mean, looks like Jason to me.
[00:45:00] Speaker A: Right. So, so pumped. So pumped. So let's go over to Godzilla news is everything is kind of old, is new again, sorry, going to movie news. But Godzilla, because we keep bringing it up, we're getting Toho's gonna spend 105 million on Godzilla projects, including a minus one follow up.
Let's see, they spent. What was it to make the first movie?
[00:45:29] Speaker B: 15 million.
[00:45:31] Speaker A: 15 million, maybe.
[00:45:32] Speaker B: Maybe.
[00:45:33] Speaker A: Right. And so this one's gonna be 105 million. So basically they're going to be making movies for the next 20 years in projects.
[00:45:40] Speaker B: Oh, my God, dude. Like Toho. Bloomberg has revealed that Toho will be investing 120 billion yen over the next three years to accelerate its globalization.
So.
[00:45:52] Speaker A: Oh, okay. Just three years. Okay.
[00:45:53] Speaker B: Oh, is gonna go nuts with all, like, everything.
[00:45:56] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:45:56] Speaker B: So that's very exciting to see what kind of projects we can get outside of just Godzilla as well. So.
Wow, that's a lot of freaking money.
Yep.
[00:46:07] Speaker A: So, yeah. That's wild. So if you are a Godzilla fan, get ready for a lot more next thing. Exactly. Speaking of Godzilla X Kong, which is now called Supernova.
[00:46:22] Speaker B: So since we put that news in there, they named the movie so. And put that tease out.
[00:46:32] Speaker A: Sorry, what's the name of it?
[00:46:33] Speaker B: Supernova.
[00:46:34] Speaker A: Oh, Supernova.
[00:46:36] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:46:37] Speaker A: Cool.
[00:46:39] Speaker B: Which I'm assuming is like Space Godzilla, so.
[00:46:43] Speaker A: Yeah, right.
[00:46:43] Speaker B: If it's not, I'd be really disappointed because I love Space Godzilla.
[00:46:48] Speaker A: I. I wouldn't be surprised.
But I. What I will say is I hope it's a little bit more Godzilla focused. I loved the last movie, but it really was a Kong movie.
[00:47:00] Speaker B: But they had to do that too. I felt.
[00:47:02] Speaker A: I get it. I'm not, I'm not.
[00:47:04] Speaker B: The pendulum swings, right, with these characters.
[00:47:07] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:47:07] Speaker B: But I agree. I also agree that, like, Godzilla is like this. He put his name first, and then he's just kind of like.
[00:47:13] Speaker A: That's what I mean.
[00:47:14] Speaker B: A backroom character, right?
[00:47:15] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:47:15] Speaker B: So, yeah, I, I, I hope that this movie does that as well, but I've heard that's what's supposed to happen, right?
[00:47:23] Speaker A: They've been listening to the fans. Like, every movie in that franchise has gotten better. The franchise has gotten better over the years. It's, it's just been fantastic.
We're going back together to Amazon here.
We might be getting.
[00:47:37] Speaker B: Wait, wait. You forgot to talk about Sam Neill.
[00:47:40] Speaker A: Oh, Sam. Yeah, Sam. Neal's gonna be in there, into this supernova. You know, he's, he's in there.
[00:47:48] Speaker B: He is the supernova.
[00:47:49] Speaker A: I heard that could also be true.
I think it's an event horizon that he brings down.
[00:47:58] Speaker B: You're tying this all together. I see this.
[00:47:59] Speaker A: That's it. That's it.
[00:48:02] Speaker B: Sorry.
[00:48:02] Speaker A: Okay, back to Amazon and Ryan Gosling.
There's a lot of synergy in the show today.
This has been getting thrown around for a while, though, but killer clowns from outer space might begin to reboot now from Amazon, the Kyoto Brothers franchise everyone loves. What do you think about this?
[00:48:23] Speaker B: Okay.
I'm okay. Like, I've never, like, been really into that original movie.
[00:48:31] Speaker A: Yeah, me either.
[00:48:32] Speaker B: So it's just like, this is just these kind of things that come, come back around. But, like, like you said, it's been talked about for a while.
Why not?
[00:48:44] Speaker A: Why not? Okay.
[00:48:46] Speaker B: The next thing, of course, though, is much, much more our, you know, cup of tea.
[00:48:51] Speaker A: That's it. So it sounds like Henry Cavill is continuing his relationship with Amazon and moving his Highlander over from Lionsgate to Amazon. MGM Studios. Ch. Chad Stahleski is still supposed to be in the director, but this is a project that, again, we have talked about for a really long time too.
So is it happening? Do you get excited? Like, what does this mean?
[00:49:19] Speaker B: Every time they say this, I get excited about it.
[00:49:21] Speaker A: Right.
[00:49:22] Speaker B: Because, you know, Stahleski is a really interesting attachment to this because you're looking at a high action movie.
And while he talks, well, they talk about it. They talk about being faithful to the original movie, the, the whole mythos, but also expanding those mythos in ways we've never seen. So, yeah, please, just let's move forward with this and get, get filming, because I really want to see this and like, I've been watching that Lazarus show, which also has Stillski, like attached to it for action storyboarding. And it's like when you watch the show, it's like you can see it. It's very. Some stuff they do is really neat. Like I've.
They do different things than they usually do in some anime.
And it's a really cool show as well. So check it out.
[00:50:10] Speaker A: That's right. You've been geeking out on that too.
[00:50:13] Speaker B: I haven't.
[00:50:16] Speaker A: So.
Horror. We got a trailer for him which is a kind of like a football horror movie. Coming from Jordan Peele's production company, this is actually looking pretty good as far as the trailer goes. And you know, spooky scary. You don't usually see a lot of. It's weird to say this. Like, you don't usually see a lot of guy is the heroes. It's always a final girl.
Like, they're not always male centric. I don't. You know what I mean?
[00:50:49] Speaker B: I do, I do.
[00:50:52] Speaker A: Not that I'm a guy who needs it, you know, it's not like that. It's just like I'm just now occurring to me like, it's not usually a guy who's getting plagued by these slashers and stuff. It's always a girl.
That's.
[00:51:05] Speaker B: Yeah, I have so my own thoughts on that.
I actually forgot to watch this trailer, so I will check it out.
[00:51:14] Speaker A: Yeah, Marlon Waynes is in it. It looks creepy. Yeah, it's good.
So Toys R Us live action movie.
It's in the works right now.
I don't really know what else to say other than I didn't hate Five Nights at Freddy's. So I know that was a video game, but, like, maybe they can figure out something to do. Who thought Jumanji was probably going to be a good idea when it was pitched. It's amazing. So you know what I mean? Like, I don't know. So it's the new one.
So is Minecraft.
So I don't know.
So is Barbie right?
[00:51:53] Speaker B: No, for sure, for sure.
Project has been described as night of the museum. Back to the future or big.
Yeah.
[00:52:01] Speaker A: Right.
Maybe it's kid going back in time and has to live his dream out inside of a Toys R Us. Getting trapped there. Something.
[00:52:11] Speaker B: Like that last night.
[00:52:14] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:52:14] Speaker B: All right.
Weird.
[00:52:17] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:52:19] Speaker B: All right.
[00:52:19] Speaker A: So let's. Oh. What?
[00:52:22] Speaker B: No, I feel like this is the one I've been waiting for. I forgot we were gonna talk about this since it's the name of the show as well.
[00:52:28] Speaker A: Is it so Predator Badlands.
Finally the trailer was released. We hits November 7th, and I don't know what else to say other than it looks effing awesome.
[00:52:42] Speaker B: Yeah, man.
It totally took me by surprise since we've been talking about like these.
Telling these predator stories in. In history. Right. So it was like phrase which we also are get.
[00:52:53] Speaker A: Which we. And then we're getting last time.
[00:52:55] Speaker B: Right. The anthology show. But all of this stuff that was leading up to Badlands made everybody think like Badlands referred to like, you know, the western. The western, right. And so when I saw this was like an back to the sci fi, like futuristic world. And then they do those whaling Utani teases like, bring this, like, bring this world together. Because we have been waiting for a good Alien vs. Predator storytelling for a very long time.
[00:53:24] Speaker A: This is the world. Talk about world building. If they really are building it out on Earth too. Because I think there's supposed to be some predator stuff down there.
[00:53:32] Speaker B: Yes. And it's just like tied to Dutch down there again.
I hope so. I hope so. Right? Because like, what is the time period? Right. Right. All CGI'd.
I'm just. I'm just like this, this could just.
[00:53:49] Speaker A: I didn't even think about that until right now. I really didn't like the alien. Like there could be any predator stuff in that alien show.
[00:53:58] Speaker B: Yeah, exactly.
[00:54:00] Speaker A: They own it. They own it all.
[00:54:04] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:54:04] Speaker A: So this trailer is freaking great.
I don't have much more to say.
Split fiction video game that I think came out this year priority get to get nominated for game of the year because it's supposed to be amazing and it's now option for a movie that happened real quick.
[00:54:22] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, I. I would watch them that movie because that trailer impressed me.
Yeah. What a cool.
[00:54:31] Speaker A: Yeah, the whole thing is great.
Speaking of Amazon again.
[00:54:36] Speaker B: Oh, what do they pay us every time we say Amazon? Because they should.
[00:54:42] Speaker A: We're Getting a Roadhouse 2.
Which guy Ritchie's gonna direct?
Jake Gyllenhaal's back.
I have no idea why this is existing, but I didn't watch that other movie. Now I need to watch it because I'll watch anything Guy Ritchie does.
[00:55:01] Speaker B: Yeah, I've heard the first one's good.
Like, yeah, good movie.
But once. Once they said Guy Ritchie, I was just sold already. So.
[00:55:11] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:55:12] Speaker B: Wild stuff.
Yeah.
[00:55:15] Speaker A: So, yeah, that's. That's sweet.
And then finally in movie news, we've got the old guard 2.
When did that come out? During the pandemic.
[00:55:25] Speaker B: Yeah. Watch that first movie.
[00:55:27] Speaker A: Are you serious?
[00:55:28] Speaker B: Or have I. I don't remember.
[00:55:29] Speaker A: I feel like.
[00:55:31] Speaker B: No.
[00:55:32] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah, it came out four years ago, the trailer. So.
[00:55:38] Speaker B: It'S one of those things where I was like waiting for my wife to watch it and then we never watched it and now I'm waiting to turn. I gotta turn on Netflix once I, you know, this summer again, because let things.
There's a lot. There's always a lot.
There's a lot. I mean, I had it on not too long ago, but still like havoc and stuff. I really want to watch. Yeah.
But yeah, I, I watched this trailer. I. I mean, I know the concept of. I read the comic, you know.
[00:56:04] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:56:05] Speaker B: So cool. I didn't think they were gonna finally. It's just like, hey, this is. We're doing this. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:56:13] Speaker A: That's it. Finally.
All right. And to cap off the show, we will go to some gaming news.
First up is Static Dread, which is a Lovecraftian horror game.
You know, I'm always excited to, to get into that, to go in through my Eldritch pairs. But yeah, there's a really creepy ass trailer with Cthulhu Hinted and it's one of those cool Clue mystery games.
So it's coming out on August 7th.
[00:56:46] Speaker B: And there's a demo on Steam right now.
[00:56:49] Speaker A: Oh, perfect.
Check that out.
And then moving on. All Hell Unleashed. This was crazy. So did I share this with you? Did you share this with me? I can't remember.
[00:57:01] Speaker B: I don't remember. I. I don't know, but I remember seeing this as well. So.
[00:57:06] Speaker A: So this is a fake. I don't know how to say it. Fake game. But it is a game. It's a Nintendo game that this guy made that pits all of your like favorite slashers and we're talking killer clowns, Jason, Freddy, you know, Chucky, all for a Nintendo.
So it will work with your classic NES and probably over emulator. I don't know how people do these things, but it looks pretty awesome.
[00:57:34] Speaker B: Yeah, Emulator, Steam Deck, All Hell Unleashed.
[00:57:39] Speaker A: So that's available now actually, you know, I'll do.
Oh, this is a fan game, is free. I'm gonna put it right into the link there, so you guys can check that out. And then finally, Xenomorph, a new survival game.
This is kind of like a spiritual successor to Alien versus Predator.
How does that work, I wonder?
[00:58:04] Speaker B: I don't know.
[00:58:04] Speaker A: Healthy strategy?
Well, I don't know.
[00:58:10] Speaker B: I'll just check it out.
[00:58:12] Speaker A: Yeah, this is one of those Alien Day announcements. So, you know, we'll see how this goes. I think that survival games are good for this sort of series. So. Yeah. And if you somehow mix in, you know, predators somehow.
Bring it on.
[00:58:31] Speaker B: It says they said the, the guys that's finally in space. No one can hear you scream. But on XL243, everyone can hear you scream. Okay.
